About me: I was born in Texas, raised in Arizona. I completed my MD/PhD at the University of Illinois. I am an incoming plastic surgery resident at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Why I joined YLC: I am very passionate about early childhood intervention, especially for children with congenital or acquired differences. My career goals include pursuing a pediatric fellowship after residency to provide children with life-changing operations. Smile Train has been providing cleft lip and palate surgeries to children for many years. While I hope to one day be one of the 2,000+ providers committing their time to this cause, I joined the YLC Board to serve this charity in an alternatively effective way.
