Congratulations on being a Smile Train Student Ambassador for the 2023 – 2024 academic year! We have enjoyed working with all of you and are eager to meet you at our annual summit.

We hope that over the course of the weekend you will learn more about Smile Train and be able to take what you learn back to your community. While at the Student Ambassador (”SA”) Annual Summit, you will meet with your peers, participate in workshops, interact with Smile Train staff, and learn about each other’s efforts to create more smiles.

For the cost of $150 per Ambassador, you will receive transfers to and from the airport, shared hotel accommodations, activities and meals on Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday morning. Smile Train will reimburse you for the cost of your airfare or train ticket. During your stay, Smile Train staff will coordinate all your activities, including an excursion in the big apple!                                                                                                                 

As a reminder, Smile Train is able to offer this incredible opportunity because we believe in your ability to be an ambassador for Smile Train in your community. We will devote much of the weekend to learning from one another, so please be prepared to share your initiatives and take back tips to your hometown!

Dates: March 8-10, 2024

Cost to you: $150 per Student Ambassador (Travel costs will be reimbursed per guidelines below)

Due Dates and Important Information:

By February 8, 2024: Hold your spot by sending in your registration fee and completing the registration form.

By February 22, 2023: Send your flight itinerary (or travel plans if you will travel by train or car) to [email protected]

Please follow the guidelines when selecting your flight to ensure you will be reimbursed in full. 

Arrive to JFK or LGA airport on Friday, March 8th between 1pm and 6pm

Depart from JFK or LGA airport on Sunday, March 10th between 1pm and 6pm

Smile Train will reimburse flights up to $350 for Ambassadors who live west of the Mississippi River and up to $200 for those who live east of the Mississippi River.

By March 28, 2024: Send travel reimbursement form + receipts to [email protected] -- reimbursements can take up to two months to process​
